Melissa Grattan is the owner of Make it Fit, LLC and licensee of Boot Camp Challenge, Kids Kamp Challenge and Break Through Challenge. She holds a Master of Science in Health Education, a Master of Arts in English and is an internationally Certified Personal Trainer,  Fitness Counselor, and Primary Group Fitness Instructor through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA). Melissa has completed training in Nutrition Counseling, Prenatal Fitness, and Indoor Cycling. Melissa is also a Certified Wellness Coach for The Break Through Challenge national program.  Melissa works with local corporations to provide on-site fitness and wellness programs and she has been a Fitness Expert for WNYT Channel 13’s Fitness Friday segment for the past 8 years. Melissa was named as the Tech Valley Woman of the Year of 2010 through NYS Women, Inc., and was recognized as one of the most successful and talented leaders in the Capital Region under the age of 40 as a member of the Business Review’s 40 Under 40 class of 2010.  Melissa has also presented at national fitness/wellness conferences on a variety of fitness, wellness and business topics.

Kate Szczesny

Boot Camp Challenge Trainer
Kids Kamp Challenge Coach

Kate has always had a passion for fitness and nutrition playing field hockey and running track through high school. During college, Kate looked for ways to continue staying fit and started running for distance. This was the start of her love for running races, starting with 5k’s and eventually working her way up to marathons. She has run many 5 and 10 K’s throughout the capital region, as well as the San Diego Marathon (twiceJ ) through Team in Training, multiple half-marathons and the Stockade-athon. Kate started as a camper in Bootcamp Challenge when looking for a way incorporate weight training into her cardio routine. She immediately fell in love with not only the variety and complexity of the workout but also connections and motivation that she got from the program. After years of participating in the program she decided to give teaching a shot. Kate became an ACE Certified Personal Trainer in February 2014 and a Boot Camp Challenge/Kids Kamp Challenge trainer in March 2014. Besides teaching fitness, Kate can be found in the classroom as a 4th grade teacher in the Saratoga Springs City School District. She enjoys spending her free time outdoors with her husband and family, as well as her two dogs, Gloria and Rizzo.

Julie Pascazio

Julie brings with her to the Make It Fit team a sincere passion for healthy living, fitness, and good nutrition. After several years of experience working one-on-one with a personal trainer, she joined the Boot Camp Challenge program as a client in January of 2009. She quickly realized her deeper interest in encouraging others to take control of their health and fitness, and decided to begin a career in the fitness industry.

In February 2010 she became a certified Personal Trainer through the Aerobic and Fitness Association of America (AFAA), and in June 2010 earned her Boot Camp Challenge Instructor certification. In June 2011 she became a certified Group Exercise Instructor, also through AFAA, and in 2012 added Baby Boot Camp Instructor and Kids Kamp Challenge Coach certifications to her resume. Most recently, in February 2014, Julie became a certified Break Through Challenge Wellness Coach. Julie’s previous fitness experience includes holding a 1st Degree Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do martial arts, as well as previously working as the Director for My Gym Children’s Fitness Center and as a local studio Dance Instructor and Dance Team Assistant Coach, working with children and adults of all ages and skill levels.

Julie is Crossfit and obstacle course racing enthusiast, training for and competing in several Spartan and oc races around the Northeast each year. Julie also currently owns an in-home personal training business, and is working towards obtaining her Crossfit Level I certification as well as becoming a certified SGX Spartan Coach. In her free time she appreciates spending time outdoors and cherishes time spent with her family and friends. She resides with her husband, Cinto, their two young children and two German Shepherd dogs in Clifton Park, NY.

Nicole Beck

Nicole discovered she had a passion for fitness after taking a fitness Boot Camp Program in 2005 and seeing the positive impact it had on people’s lives around her. Since then, she has obtained her Personal Trainer Certification through AFAA and has completed her training as an official Boot Camp Challenge ® Instructor for the nationally recognized Boot Camp Challenge ® Program. Nicole juggles a full time job as well as her own side business as an in-home Personal Trainer and instructor for the Boot Camp Challenge ® Program.

Nicole’s passion is running and has completed 1 full marathon and 7 half marathons. Nicole’s outside interests include golfing and socializing with family and friends.

Danielle Tremblay

Boot Camp Challenge Instructor

Danielle had always been active growing up. She danced ballet, modern and hip hop from the age of 3 and continues to dance today with Nacre Dance Company. In addition she holds her 4th degree black belt in U.S. Budokai Karate and helps coach the school’s tournament team.

Danielle started Bootcamp Challenge with Melissa as a camper in 2014 and was instantly addicted to the program and the camaraderie. Danielle loved it so much she became an AFAA certified personal trainer and a Bootcamp Challenge Certified Trainer in 2016.

In addition to her passion for fitness, Danielle is also a Freelance Graphic Designer and a designer at Price Chopper and holds a BFA in Graphic Design from the Fashion Institute of Technology. In her free time, she likes eating tacos and keeping up a yoga practice.

Courtney Lemieux

Boot Camp Challenge Trainer

Courtney has always been active as a dancer and started when she was in first grade. Her favorite type of dance is Irish Step Dance and she has kept it up for seventeen years. After college, Courtney moved to New York from Massachusetts and wanted to get involved with something to keep her active locally. She found Boot Camp Challenge in 2015 and immediately fell in love with the group dynamic and challenging workouts.

Courtney became a NASM certified personal trainer in 2016 and a Bootcamp Challenge trainer in 2017. She always loves to push herself and try new things and has competed in a Spartan race, Tough Mudder, and WBFF fitness competition.

Courtney works as a teaching assistant during the day in a school for students who have disabilities. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her husband and their two cats, Brady and Jagr.
